CapCut Arabic Auto Captions Not Working? Fixes and a Better Alternative

CapCut does officially support Arabic auto captions, but creators still encounter reversed text, missing language options, English output, and captions that stall. Try the real fixes first; switch workflows only if the problem remains.

Problem 1: Arabic text is reversed or scrambled

This is usually an RTL rendering or font-shaping problem, and the exact controls vary by CapCut version. First update the app and try a font with proper Arabic shaping. If your build exposes a text-direction control, set the caption direction to right-to-left. Treat text-reverser websites as a last-resort workaround for an older build, not as the primary fix.

Problem 2: Arabic is missing from the language list

CapCut’s help documentation lists Arabic among its auto-caption languages. If your language picker does not show it, update CapCut and try the web or desktop editor. Do not conclude that Arabic is unsupported: platform, region, and version differences can change what the picker displays.

Problem 3: Captions come out in English

Before generating, select Arabic as the spoken language instead of relying on automatic detection. Also check that the audio track is present and audible. If the track contains music, heavy noise, or very low speech, clean or replace the source before generating again.

Problem 4: Captions are empty, stalled, or wildly inaccurate

• Check your connection; caption generation is cloud-processed.
• Confirm that the video has an unmuted audio track.
• Restart and update CapCut. Refresh the web editor if necessary.
• Split a very long source into smaller sections and try again.
• If the issue persists, use a prepared SRT instead of repeating the same generation attempt.

When to stop fixing and use a dedicated SRT

For a stable file-based workflow, generate Arabic subtitles outside CapCut, review the text and timing, then import the UTF-8 SRT into CapCut Desktop or Web. Style and export there. This separates Arabic speech recognition from RTL styling and means you can reuse the same SRT on YouTube, VLC, Premiere, or DaVinci Resolve.
